Alternative Provision Teaching Assistant – Milton Keynes

About the role:

Justteachers is looking to appoint an Alternative Provision Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated education setting in Milton Keynes. This full-time position begins in September 2026 and is expected to continue until July 2027. You will support pupils who require an alternative educational pathway, helping them engage positively with learning and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom and pastoral support
• Encourage positive behaviour and attendance
• Support individual learning programmes
• Build trusting relationships with pupils
• Contribute to a safe and inclusive environment

Pre-requisites:

• Experience working with vulnerable children or young people
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• Flexible and resilient approach
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
• Two references within the last two years from a related field
