About the Role
About the role: Justteachers is recruiting an enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher for a full time, short-term position starting in September 2026 at a welcoming primary school in the Clitheroe area. The school is committed to providing a nurturing and engaging environment where pupils are supported as they transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1. Staff work collaboratively to deliver high-quality learning experiences that help every child develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning. Key Skills and Attributes: • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum • Support pupils’ development in phonics, reading, writing, and mathematics • Use assessment to monitor attainment and inform future planning • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment • Differentiate learning activities to meet a range of abilities and needs • Support pupils’ personal, social, and emotional development • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues • Maintain high standards of behaviour and uphold school policies Pre-requisites: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification • Recent experience teaching within KS1, ideally in Year 1 • Strong understanding of phonics and the KS1 curriculum • Excellent classroom management and communication skills • Enhanced DBS clearance If you are interested in this role, please apply via the form below.
