About the Role

A privately owned family business which has seen considerable and sustained growth over the last 5 years is looking to appoint an Interim Financial Controller to provide maternity cover. The business has a lot to shout about - solid financials, great products, welcoming and transparent culture. They're also going through an exciting period of change - in addition to day to day activities, this contract offers the opportunity to get involved in a new ERP system implementation.

Reporting to the board and managing a small team of 2, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and presentation of the board pack
  • Ownership of budgeting and forecasting
  • Partnering with non finance stakeholders to ensure relevant KPI/other metric reporting
  • Main liaison point for auditors and other external bodies e.g. HMRC

To be considered for this role you should be an experienced Accountant who is used to managing the finance function for an SME. Knowledge of an ERP system and specifically within a manufacturing environment would be beneficial and formal qualification would be advantageous.
