About the Role
<p><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:14px">On behalf of a respected local membership organisation we are now recruiting a Membership Development Manager vacancy to support the growth, engagement and long‑term success of a nationwide member community. This role combines commercial focus with relationship management, offering the opportunity to work closely with members, partners and internal teams while contributing directly to membership growth and income generation.</span></span></p>

<li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:14px">Support the growth of the membership base by identifying, engaging and converting prospective members across the UK</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:14px">Build and maintain strong relationships with existing members to drive satisfaction, retention and long‑term value</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:14px">Promote membership benefits and identify commercial opportunities across advertising, training, sponsorship and events</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:14px">Act as a key point of contact for members, supporting onboarding and ongoing engagement</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:14px">Represent the organisation at industry events, meetings and networking opportunities</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:14px">Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities and member interactions using the CRM system</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:14px">Work collaboratively with internal teams to support campaigns, publications and wider membership activity</span></span></li>

<li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:14px">Proven experience in business development, account management or membership engagement within a B2B environment</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:14px">Experience working with both SMEs and larger organisations</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:14px">Strong relationship‑building and communication skills, with the ability to influence a range of stakeholders</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:14px">Commercial awareness and experience of working towards income or sales targets</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:14px">Excellent written and verbal communication skills</span></span></li>
