System Administrator - Senior

Overview:

SOFTSWISS is looking for a Windows infrastructure administrator with 5+ years of enterprise experience who has decided to delve deeper into DevOps practices (Python/PS/bash automation, containerisation, integration with other systems via API), who knows how to bring together different systems and platforms into a single environment, and who is familiar with the challenges of modern distributed infrastructures.

Purpose of the role:

You’ll automate infrastructure processes and integrate internal services to improve efficiency and reliability.

Key responsibilities:

• Maintenance and development of hybrid server infrastructure.

• Maintenance of active network equipment (including cloud-based communication channels), office network development.

• Diagnostics and solutions for hardware and software problems of office infrastructure, including cloud-based.

• R&D and implementation of new services.

• Maintenance of technical documentation in the Knowledge Base.

• Creation, configuration and implementation of different kind of automations.

Also, you will be able:

• Participation in accounting and inventory of equipment (in terms of infrastructure).

• Diagnosis and solution of hardware and software problems of company employees.

Required Experience:

• At least 5 years of experience at companies with 100+ employees and distributed offices\partially or fully remote.

• Expert knowledge of modern operating systems MS Windows Server. Understanding the security principles of MS Windows operating systems.

• Expert knowledge of MS Active Directory (backup and recovery, FSMO replication in details, group policies, collisions and debug).

• Basic Linux experience - system management, reverse proxy management, cert management.

• Practical experience with network devices like Mikrotik/Ubiquiti.

• Scripting languages (Python/PowerShell/Bash)—daily routine automation, work with API of different services.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab CI, Github Actions, etc.). Understanding how to work with GIT.

• English B1+ (be able to participate in meetings with vendors tech support and sales/pre-sales managers).

• Russian B1+.

Nice to have:

• Experience with MDM systems (Intune, Kandji, ABM, etc.).

• Higher technical education would be a plus.

• Docker management and understanding containerisation.

• Focuses on the infrastructure-as-code approach.

• Experience with any software configuration management solution (Ansible, Terraform, etc.).

• SSO Experience (Keycloak, Entra ID/GW/OKTA, OIDC/SAML/SCIM.
