Excellent opportunity for a skilled AR/AP Assistant to join a growing company based in the North of Aberdeen on a maternity cover basis. This role would suit someone with solid, hands-on experience in a similar position, who is confident supporting a finance team across a broad range of accounting duties.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Managing daily bookkeeping activities, including invoices, payments, credit control, and treasury functions.
- Performing regular reconciliations across bank accounts and financial ledgers.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and supporting documentation.
- Preparing and providing documentation required for audit processes.
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls and established accounting standards.
- Liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to manage and resolve financial transactions.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role within a relevant industry.
- Experience with Sage 200 is advantageous, though not essential.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
