<p>GVC are assisting a friendly, progressive and well-established small animal practice in North West London that is looking to welcome a motivated Head Registered Veterinary Nurse (or aspiring Head RVN) to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse who enjoys leading from the front, supporting others, and remaining hands-on clinically.</p>

<strong>The Practice</strong></h3>
<p>This modern, purpose-built practice has experienced significant growth over recent years and is proudly <strong>vet-owned</strong>, with a strong focus on clinical standards, team wellbeing, and collaboration. The team is supported by visiting peripatetic specialists and works within a well-equipped environment including an in-house lab, ultrasound, digital X-ray, and species-specific kennels.</p>
<p>The leadership team is passionate about development and creating a positive, supportive workplace where every team member feels valued.<br />

<h3><strong>The Role</strong></h3>
<p>This is a <strong>full-time position (40 hours per week)</strong> with a <strong>1 in 3 Saturday rota</strong> and <strong>no out-of-hours work</strong>, supporting an excellent work–life balance.</p>
<p>You will play a key role in both the <strong>clinical and professional development of the nursing team</strong>, working closely with the Head Vet and Practice Manager.</p>
<p><em><u><strong>Key responsibilities include:</strong></u></em></p>
<ul>
<li>Leading and supporting the nursing team on a day-to-day basis
<li>Clinical coaching and supporting Student Veterinary Nurses
<li>Running nurse clinics (e.g. obesity, diabetes, behavioural consults)
<li>Performing Schedule 3 procedures, including dental scale and polish
<li>Supporting routine procedures such as second vaccinations and post-operative checks
<li>Contributing to the ongoing development of the practice and nursing services
</ul>
<h3><u><strong>About You</strong></u></h3>
<ul>
<li>RCVS registered RVN
<li>Either an established Head Nurse or an experienced RVN ready to step up
<li>Confident communicator with a positive, lead-by-example approach
<li>Previous clinical coaching experience is desirable, but full support and training can be provided
</ul>
