Home / Careers / Staff Boat Captain STAFF BOAT CAPTAIN COMO Parrot Cay Property: COMO Parrot Cay Position: Staff Boat Captain Base Location: Parrot Cay Department: Security Reporting to: Security Manager Tasks/Responsibilities: Safely operate the boat and ensure that it is operated and according to the Maritime Laws of the Turks and Caicos Islands Maintain records of daily activities, personnel reports, vessel positions and movements, Maintain all on-board equipment, including machinery, engines and safety equipment with regular inspection and report all defects or problems to the Engineer and the Boating Mechanic attention without any delay. Inspect vessels to ensure efficient and safe operation of vessels and equipment, and conformance to regulations, Be an extra eye for Security reporting any unusual or suspicious movement Ensure that passengers are properly brief and seated prior to the vessel departing from port. Beginning each shift you are to check your vessel, ensuring the vessel will comply with staffing level requirements and Company safety standards. Ensure the vessel is prepare prior to boarding time, meet and greet the passengers or staff transferring to Parrot Cay. Initiate boarding and oversee passenger's numbers on board. Ensure staff are boarding after guest. Ensure no-un authorized persons are travelling on board the vessel. Key Requirements: Must possess a valid Turks & Caicos Islands Boat Operating License Must have a good knowledge of machinery breakdown drills, Must have at least two years boating experience Must be sound knowledge of boating operation, safety and first aid procedures Exercise all care and responsibility for all passengers on-board. Willing to work weekends, public Holidays Ability to work independently in a timely manner.
