The Student Intern will have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Arrow ’s programs. Student Interns pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a Master's degree in Counseling/Psychology and Social Work will have the opportunity to rotate through the various programs offered throughout the agency to understand all roles in our child placing agency related to social work services for children and families involved in the child welfare system. Except for Counseling and Psychology Majors, depending on their experience and qualifications, all others will rotate within different programs. Interns will be exposed to both general and clinical levels of social work (depending on the focus of study and level) via shadowing and supporting the Professional Case Management Staff and Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHPs) focusing on client advocacy, supportive case management, and skill-building services as well as attending court hearings/adoptions and collaborating with the treatment team (CASA, attorneys, CPS Workers, etc.). This is an unpaid internship with a specific start and end date.

Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
High school degree or equivalent required. Must be actively enrolled in an accredited university/college program to receive credit, pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Clinical Mental Health, Human Services, or related field preferred.
