About the Role
<p><strong>Job Title: Project Engineering Manager</strong></p>
<p><strong>Location: Tar Heel, North Carolina</strong></p>
<p><strong>Salary: $125K -155K plus bonus</strong></p>
<p><strong>Summary:</strong> As a Project Engineering Manager, you will oversee the execution of large-scale technical projects in the food industry. Leading a team of engineers, you will be responsible for implementing innovative solutions.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Develop engineering designs, material specs, and project cost estimates.</li>
<li>Conduct feasibility studies and economic analysis.</li>
<li>Ensure designs meet standards and validate field work.</li>
<li>Review engineering submissions for accuracy.</li>
<li>Manage project execution by directing vendors and contractors.</li>
<li>Coordinate project schedules with plant personnel and vendors.</li>
<li>Collaborate with management and engineering teams.</li>
<li>Partner with vendors to plan layouts and meet utility requirements.</li>
<li>Review consultant work and maintain documentation.</li>
<li>Conduct planning and reviews during pre-project phases.</li>
<li>Define scope of work and evaluate proposals.</li>
<li>Submit regular reports on project status.</li>
<li>Manage contract administration and prepare project documents.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Education & Experience Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field, plus 5+ years of experience.</li>
<li>2+ years in a leadership position with team management experience.</li>
<li>Knowledge of engineering principles and project scheduling.</li>
<li>Proficient in Project Management and AutoCAD.</li>
<li>Strong communication and organizational skills.</li>
<li>Willingness to travel 50% of the time.</li>
