Pastoral Support Worker - Secondary School - Camden - September 2026 Start - Full-TimeAre you an experienced Pastoral Support Worker or Behaviour Mentor looking to secure your next role for September 2026 in a vibrant, diverse secondary school? Are you calm, resilient, and committed to helping young people overcome barriers and thrive both emotionally and academically?Tradewind Recruitment is working with inclusive and well-regarded secondary schools in Camden, seeking a dedicated Pastoral Support Worker to join their pastoral and safeguarding teams on a full-time, long-term basis from September 2026. This is a key role where you will have a direct impact on students' wellbeing, behaviour, and personal development from the start of the academic year.Pastoral Support Worker - Role OverviewIn this role, you will support students across KS3 and KS4, particularly those facing emotional, behavioural, or attendance challenges. You will:Provide 1:1 and small group pastoral support for targeted studentsSupport students with SEMH needs, behavioural challenges, and social difficultiesBuild strong, trusting relationships to improve engagement and outcomesWork closely with Heads of Year, safeguarding leads, SENCOs, and attendance teamsDeliver behaviour support strategies and lead restorative conversationsMonitor student progress, wellbeing, and attendanceLiaise with parents/carers to support student developmentSupport reintegration plans and early intervention strategiesUphold safeguarding responsibilities at all timesRequirementsPrevious experience in a secondary school setting (essential)Proven experience supporting students with SEMH or behavioural needsStrong understanding of safeguarding and child protection proceduresA calm, patient, and resilient approachAbility to build rapport with students from diverse urban backgroundsExcellent communication and organisational skillsEnhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)What's on OfferA supportive and inclusive Camden secondary school environmentFull-time role: Monday to Friday, term-time onlyA central role within a committed pastoral and safeguarding teamThe opportunity to make a meaningful impact from the start of the academic yearOngoing CPD and training opportunitiesPotential for a long-term or permanent positionHow to ApplyIf you are an experienced Pastoral Support Worker looking to secure a rewarding role for September 2026 in Camden, we would love to hear from you.For more information, please contact Elizabeth Topley at elizabeth.topley@twrecruitment.com or call 0207 845 5450 (option 3).
