Our focus on quality, environmental responsibility, and long-term partnerships has made us a trusted name in the industry.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities<br /> Develop and lead commercial strategies for major projects from tender through to completion</p> <p>Secure early-stage contract approval with clients, contractors, designers, and specifiers</p> <p>Produce compelling bid submissions in collaboration with internal teams</p> <p>Build and maintain a strong network of Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors, clients, and consultants</p> <p>Oversee forecasting, budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting for major projects</p> <p>Negotiate key contract terms (NEC, JCT, FIDIC, etc.) and manage compliance</p> <p>Guide teams on contractual claims, variations, and dispute resolution strategies</p> <p>Collaborate closely with internal MDs, commercial teams, planning, and SHE teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery</p> <p>Key Requirements<br /> Essential:</p> <p>Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or Construction Materials</p> <p>Comprehensive knowledge of material applications across major construction contracts</p> <p>Strong commercial acumen and negotiation experience</p> <p>In-depth understanding of the full project lifecycle and how to deliver client value</p> <p>Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards</p> <p>Awareness of low-carbon construction demands and their impact on materials supply</p> <p>Desirable:</p> <p>Background in civil engineering, particularly on major infrastructure or construction projects</p> <p>Experience in bid assessments and awards with Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors</p> <p>Financial modelling and commercial optimisation expertise</p> <p>Strong presentation and marketing skills</p> <p>Familiarity with NEC3 contract delivery</p> <p>Existing network of major contractors and clients</p> <p>This is a rare opportunity to play a strategic role in securing and delivering some of the UK’s most impactful construction projects.
