Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs?
A warm and inclusive primary school in the L30 area is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from April 2026 (after Easter). This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils across EYFS to KS2, many of whom have complex needs including non-verbal communication, sensory processing challenges, and social-emotional difficulties.
About the Role
As part of the school’s inclusive SEN provision, you will play a vital role in helping children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Every day, you’ll help pupils grow in confidence, communication, and independence.
Key responsibilities include:
• Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs
• Supporting communication, emotional regulation, and learning activities
• Encouraging independence, social interaction, and self-esteem
• Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to deliver the best outcomes
What We’re Looking For
We welcome candidates who:
• Have experience supporting children with SEN (school or care settings)
• Are confident working across EYFS to KS2
• Have a DBS on the Update Service or are willing to apply (support provided)
• Are calm, patient, and adaptable
• Have a genuine passion for inclusive education and helping children succeed
