About the Role
Location: Edinburgh (Site-Based – Accommodation Provided)
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
The Role
Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of site activities on a project based in Edinburgh. Projects may include landscaping, public realm works, new façades, and façade restoration, primarily involving natural stone. While experience working with natural stone is desirable, it is not essential.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong organisational skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage site operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day site operations
Organise and supervise staff and subcontractors
Conduct Health & Safety checks and risk assessments
Prepare and manage daily work schedules
Coordinate delivery schedules and logistics
Update and monitor project programmes
Represent the client at site meetings
Assist with design development
Oversee and control fabrication processes
Identify and respond to opportunities on site
Essential Criteria
Minimum 5 years’ Site Management experience
Full working knowledge of surveying equipment
Ability to use AutoCAD to read and mark up drawings
Proficient in Excel and other computer software
Relevant Health & Safety certification
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to react quickly
Excellent communication skills with an outgoing and proactive approach
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full clean driving licence and valid passport
Desirable Criteria
Experience working with natural stone
