Job Description
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier onboarding.
- Develop sourcing strategies, lead supplier negotiations, and deliver best value across cost, quality, and service.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships, monitor performance, and mitigate supply chain risks through effective category management.
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure material availability, resolve supply issues, and support production requirements.
- Drive inventory optimisation through demand planning, stock analysis, and accurate ERP data management.
- Ensure compliance with quality, audit, health & safety, and procurement governance standards while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
The Successful Applicant
Key responsibilities include:
- 2+ years' experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, ideally within a manufacturing or regulated environment but not essential.
- Proficient in ERP/MRP systems, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to use Excel for reporting, data analysis, and decision-making.
- Effective communicator and negotiator with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders and suppliers.
- Highly organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- CIPS qualification (or working towards) preferred, with a collaborative approach and strong team-working skills.
What's on Offer
On offer to the candidate:
- Salary ranging from £38,000 to £45,000 (dependent on the level of experience) plus package.

- Hybrid working (3 days pw from Portsmouth office).
