About the Role
Overview A reputable Facilities Management provider is seeking an experienced Foot Mobile Fabric Engineer to support a Central London portfolio on a fixed-term contract. This role requires a professional, self-sufficient engineer with a strong grounding in building fabric maintenance, capable of delivering both planned and reactive works across multiple commercial sites. Key Responsibilities Undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric repairs Carry out a range of tasks including carpentry, painting & decorating, basic plumbing, and general building maintenance Conduct routine site inspections and identify defects or remedial works Maintain building fabric elements including doors, locks, ceilings, flooring, and finishes Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations Accurately update job records via CAFM systems or job sheets Liaise with clients, site teams, and subcontractors in a professional manner Effectively manage workload across multiple sites within Central London Candidate Requirements Proven experience in a Fabric Engineer or Building Maintenance role within commercial environments NVQ Level 2 in a relevant trade (essential) Strong multi-trade skillset across general building fabric works Good understanding of health & safety within facilities management Ability to work independently in a foot mobile capacity Professional attitude with strong communication skills Desirable Previous experience working in a foot mobile role across London Familiarity with CAFM systems Immediately available or able to start on 19th May
