The Role:

So, what will you be doing as an Electrical Design Engineer:

  • Design and develop advanced electrical schematics, ensuring accuracy and functionality.
  • Analyse and optimise electrical systems for maximum performance, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Define detailed system requirements to guide exceptional design outcomes.
  • Produce and maintain precise documentation of schematics and electrical layouts.
  • Select optimal cables and protective devices to guarantee safety and compliance.
  • Advise on and review electrical component choices to support successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and project teams to achieve high-quality results.
  • Contribute to a wide range of engineering tasks, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Actively participate in internal and external meetings, offering technical insight and expertise.
  • Maintain organised, thorough documentation in line with local operating procedures.

What are we looking for in our next Electrical Design Engineer?

  • HNC (or higher) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Strong team player with collaborative work ethic.
  • Proven experience specifying electrical components with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Solid knowledge of relevant electrical standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Quick learner with adaptable engineering skills to address varied design challenges.
  • Experience in schematic capture and drawing review.
  • Knowledge of electronics to support innovation and problem-solving.
  • Experience in electrical system design for complex, high-stakes projects.
  • Proficiency with Zuken E3, AutoCAD, SolidWorks or equivalent design tools.
