About the Role The System-Driven Process Owner (SDPO) is a unique engineering role designed for a highly capable developer who can take ownership of the entire software development lifecycle. This is not a traditional software engineering role where requirements are handed down and tasks are assigned. The ideal candidate will work directly with business teams to understand operational challenges, identify opportunities for automation, and build intelligent software solutions that improve medical billing workflows. You will own projects from initial discovery through development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement. Using modern AI development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and similar technologies, you will accelerate development and build powerful automation solutions. Key Responsibilities AI-Powered Workflow Automation Analyze existing medical billing processes and identify opportunities for automation. Transform manual workflows into intelligent, software-driven systems. Build solutions that improve efficiency across billing, claims, and operational processes. Develop systems where AI can handle repetitive tasks while involving human users when needed. Full Product Ownership Work directly with internal users to understand challenges and business needs. Translate business problems into effective software solutions. Design application architecture, workflows, and database structures. Build, test, deploy, and continuously improve applications. Gather feedback from users and iterate quickly. AI-Assisted Software Development Utilize AI development tools to increase development speed and productivity. Leverage AI for prototyping, coding, testing, and documentation. Stay current with evolving AI development methodologies. Build modern applications using AI-enhanced development practices. Qualifications 5+ years of professional software development experience. Strong full-stack development experience. Proficiency with: React Node.js SQL / relational databases Modern web application development Experience building SaaS applications, workflow systems, internal tools, or automation platforms. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently. Comfortable taking ownership of projects from concept to completion.
