Associate Director - Civil Engineering

Bennett & Game are representing a multidisciplinary consultancy seeking an Associate Director to join and help lead their Civil and Structural Engineering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in project delivery and team performance across a growing portfolio of industrial and manufacturing developments, supported by commercial and bespoke projects.This is a senior leadership position combining technical oversight, project management, people leadership, client relationship development and business growth within a fully integrated civil and structural environment.Role OverviewAct as Project Lead on medium and large schemes, managing programmes, resources, budgets and deliveryLead and develop the Civil / Structural Engineering team, allocating workloads and coordinating resourcesArrange and chair project commencement meetingsProduce project programmes and resourcing schedulesMonitor delivery against agreed timescales and financial targetsManage invoicing for projects delivered by your teamProvide mentoring and technical guidance to engineers and techniciansEnsure all deliverables are technically sound, approved and compliant with relevant standardsMaintain quality assurance and checking procedures across the teamAct as key client contact, representing all engineering servicesBuild Key Account Plans and maintain strong client relationshipsIdentify and develop new business opportunitiesSupport corporate reputation and brand developmentUndertake design work when requiredRequirementsChartered statusStrong technical background with hands-on design capabilityProven leadership on complex engineering projectsCommercial awareness including fee management and invoicingExperience managing multidisciplinary engineering teamsTrack record of client development and work winningIndustrial/manufacturing project experience preferredSalary & BenefitsSalary: 65,000 - £75,000Hybrid working (3 days office / 2 from home)Flexible working hours25 days holiday plus bank holidaysBuy or sell up to 5 days annual leaveContinued professional development supportClear route to Director levelBennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.We are acting as a Recruitment Agency in relation to this vacancy, and in accordance with GDPR by applying you are granting us consent to process your data, contact you about the services we offer, and submit your CV for the role you have applied for.
