Maths Lead - Blackpool

About the role:

Justteachers is seeking a Maths Lead to join a specialist Autism-focused school in the Blackpool area on a Long Term basis.
The full-time post is due to start in September 2026, with shortlisting currently taking place.

This forward-thinking school supports children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), including those with associated communication, sensory, and learning needs. The school is committed to delivering a personalised and structured curriculum that promotes confidence, independence, and academic achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading the development and delivery of the maths curriculum across the school
• Supporting staff in adapting maths teaching for autistic learners with varying needs
• Monitoring pupil progress and implementing strategies to raise attainment in numeracy

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Proven experience teaching maths, ideally within a SEND or Autism-focused setting
• Strong understanding of differentiated learning and autism-friendly teaching approaches
• Two education or school-based references
