Axium Global is established as one of the leading pre-construction planning services companies in the UK and India, serving the building services (MEP), retail, homebuilder, architectural and construction sectors with high-quality MEP engineering design and BIM solutions.
This position involves working within the MEP Design & Engineering
Team at Axium Global’s Delivery Centre in Andheri, Mumbai. The team consists of
skilled professionals, including mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineers
with varied experience.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Deputy Manager of MEP Design & Engineering
- Create accurate 3D models while ensuring mesh
quality and suitability for CFD simulations.
- Maintain an optimal balance between mesh size and
total cell count to ensure accuracy while controlling computational cost.
- Experience in creating simulation-ready models using
FDS and PyroSim.
- Ability to define appropriate mesh size and
refinement based on fire scenarios and critical flow regions.
- Ability to define appropriate boundary and initial
conditions for CFD simulations.
- Interpret simulation results and provide
engineering recommendations for design optimization.
- Understanding of relevant codes and standards
(NFPA, local fire regulations etc.)
- Working independently on calculations and mark-ups, as per requirement.
This job also involves the following aspects -
- Ability to independently communicate with clients, stakeholders, leaders and peers in written and spoken English.
- Ability to Independently creating models and performing calculations using different software.
- Ability to display Leadership skills and mentor Junior Engineers with respect.
- Ability to get trained on and work on newer design Software.
- Ability to undertake offshore visit to clients’ offices, if required, for detailed training and one-to-one sessions.
- Display of positive attitudes like flexibility, collaborative nature and empathy.
- Willingness to accept and implement constructive feedback.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- B.E. / B. Tech / M.E. / M. Tech Degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant technical qualifications.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in CFD modelling and Simulation for Car Park projects.
- Experience with Pyrosim/FDS, Rhino, Salome, etc
- Experience working on international projects.
- Experience of using MS Office
- Proven experience of having successfully managed Client communication independently
