Family assessment social worker

Eden Brown Synergy is excited to offer an exclusive opportunity with a newly established family assessment practice in Staffordshire. We are looking for an experienced, parent assessor-trained social worker to carry out family assessments in line with individual care plans, utilising the Parent Assess model as required. Role Overview: This is a full-time role, based in Staffordshire (ST18), requiring you to be in the office 5 days a week. The initial contract is for approximately 12-14 weeks, with an ASAP start. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct direct assessments of families, ensuring thorough and objective evaluations. * Lead and work alongside a team of family support workers to gather additional assessment information. * Collaborate with the leadership team to update and coordinate support plans. * Represent the service at panels, conference meetings, and legal planning meetings. * Attend court hearings as needed. * Prioritise the welfare of individuals involved, ensuring safety and well-being at all times. * Perform any other duties as reasonably requested. Essential Criteria: * A degree in Social Work (or equivalent Diploma, where applicable). * Registered with Social Work England (SWE). * Parenting Assessor trained. * Strong report writing skills with the ability to write clear, unbiased, and accurate court reports. * Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to manage your own workload effectively. * Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance, and minimum standards, including the Family Centre Regulations 2002 and Residential Family Centres, National Minimum Standards (2013). * Knowledge of child development and the ability to address the needs of children and families. * Proven experience in working collaboratively with parents, children, and other professionals.
