About the role:
Justteachers is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 4 Teacher on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Shipley. This is a full-time maternity cover position starting in September 2026, offering an excellent opportunity to join a supportive school community and make a positive impact on pupils’ learning and development.
The school is looking for a passionate teacher who can create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment while delivering high-quality teaching that enables every child to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
As a Year 4 Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering creative and inspiring lessons that support pupils’ progress across the Key Stage 2 curriculum. You will work closely with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for all learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
- Support pupils’ personal, social, and emotional development.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior leaders.
- Build positive relationships with parents and carers to support pupil progress.
- Contribute to wider school life and extracurricular activities where appropriate.
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching within a primary school setting, ideally in Key Stage 2.
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- The ability to inspire, motivate, and engage young learners.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to raising standards and supporting every child to reach their potential.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
