<p style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>PURPOSE STATEMENT:</strong></span></p><p style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Responsible for the admission and or registration of patients into the facility and maintaining communication between the organization and the patient referrals and family.</span></p><br><p style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Greet and search new patients and those transporting patients upon arrival.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Review, in conjunction with Admission Counselor, prospective admissions against approved admission criteria, policies and procedures.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Schedule assessments of voluntary patients.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Respond promptly to inquiry calls.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Responsible for clerical duties such as managing paperwork, handling data entry and answering phones.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Initiate contact, when applicable, to gather required clinical and demographic data from patient and other sources.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Assist prospective patients and significant others in seeking treatment.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Assist Admission Counselor in registration of patient to the assigned program.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Efficient and accurate completion of the admission process of patients and the timely distribution of the paperwork necessary to notify staff of the arrival/transfer of each patient.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Refer inquiries to other agencies and community resources when not appropriate for facility assistance or admission.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Ensure all required patient information is received, processed and necessary appointments are made with the proper behavioral or medical health personnel.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Coordinate with referral sources.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Coordinate transportation arrangements for patients.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.</span></li></ul><p style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>OTHER FUNCTIONS: </strong></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.</span></li></ul><p style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong> </strong></span></p><br><p style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Bachelor’s degree required.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">One or more years’ experience in healthcare admissions required.
