<p><strong>Leasehold Manager needed in Central London Paying £21.98 per hr ref OR102364</strong></p>
<p><strong>Full time hours on a temporary basis</strong></p>
</p>
<p>We are seeking an experienced and highly knowledgeable <strong>Leasehold Manager</strong> to lead on all aspects of leasehold management across our portfolio. This is a senior role, ideal for someone with strong technical expertise in leasehold law, service charge compliance, and tribunal work, who can also drive service excellence and manage complex stakeholder relationships.</p>
<p><em><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></em></p>
<p><strong>Leasehold Compliance & Legal Expertise</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Act as the organisation’s technical expert on leasehold law and relevant case law</li>
<li>Set, review, and embed organisational processes to ensure full legal compliance</li>
<li>Interpret complex lease clauses relating to service charges, repairs, insurance, and landlord/tenant obligations</li>
<li>Oversee compliance with statutory consultation requirements (Section 20) and service charge legislation</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Tribunals & Dispute Resolution</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead and manage all First-tier Tribunal (FTT) cases, including service charge disputes, lease variations, and Section 24 applications</li>
<li>Prepare and review submissions, statements of case, and evidential bundles</li>
<li>Manage complex leaseholder disputes and escalated complaints, providing clear and legally robust advice</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Right to Manage & Enfranchisement</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Oversee and advise on Right to Manage (RTM) claims, including notice validation, counter-notices, and handovers</li>
<li>Support collective enfranchisement processes, including qualification and valuation considerations</li>
<li>Work closely with legal and valuation professionals on enfranchisement matters</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Lease Review & Governance</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Conduct detailed lease analysis to identify risks, ambiguities, and defects</li>
<li>Lead on lease variation processes, including statutory applications where required</li>
<li>Develop and maintain strong governance frameworks and leasehold standards</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Service Charge Management</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Ensure service charges comply with legal requirements around reasonableness, transparency, and trust accounting</li>
<li>Oversee dispute resolution relating to service charge recovery and major works</li>
<li>Support robust budgeting, cost allocation, and reserve fund management</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Managing Agent Oversight</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Manage and oversee managing agents, ensuring compliance with the RICS Residential Management Code and industry standards</li>
<li>Monitor performance, financial controls, procurement processes, and governance</li>
<li>Drive service improvement and accountability across agent-managed stock</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Building Safety & Risk Management</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022 and associated leaseholder protections</li>
<li>Work closely with internal teams on building safety obligations</li>
<li>Identify, assess, and mitigate legal, financial, and reputational risks</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead and develop a team of leasehold professionals</li>
<li>Provide expert advice, reporting, and recommendations to senior stakeholders</li>
<li>Deputise for the Head of Property Management where required</li>
</ul>
