About the Role:
Justteachers are seeking a reliable and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a welcoming primary school in Elland. The role involves working with children in the SEND hub, who require additional support to help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group SEN support.
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement.
- Support pupils with communication and social skills.
- Assist in monitoring progress and achievements.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and parents.
Pre-requisites:
- Experience supporting children with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient and empathetic approach.
- Understanding of inclusive classroom practices.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
