<p><span style="font-size: 10pt">Our client is a leading specialist within the roofing and tapered insulation sector, known for delivering high-quality technical solutions and exceptional customer service across the UK.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt">Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced <strong>Surveying Manager</strong> to lead and develop their UK surveying function. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong roofing professional to take ownership of a growing surveying team while helping shape future surveying processes, standards, and customer experience.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt"><strong>The Role:</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt">As Surveying Manager, you will oversee a team of four Surveyors, ensuring the successful delivery of surveying services across the UK. You will play a key role in maintaining technical excellence, driving operational efficiency, supporting customer relationships, and developing best-in-class surveying standards.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt">The position will involve regular travel across the UK, with flexibility to support projects nationally when required.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt"><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Surveyors across the UK</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Ensure surveys are completed accurately, safely, and within agreed service levels</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Support surveyors with technical guidance, development, and performance management</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Oversee site surveys including:</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Roof measurements</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Drainage assessments</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Existing falls analysis</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Tapered roofing set-out support</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Act as a senior technical point of contact for customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Work closely with design, sales, and technical teams to ensure smooth project delivery</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Support customer issue resolution and provide onsite technical investigations where required</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Monitor surveying KPIs, reporting, and service performance</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Drive continuous improvement across surveying processes, technology, and standards</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Assist with technical and practical training for internal teams and external partners</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Maintain the highest standards of health & safety and compliance when working at height</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt"><strong>About You:</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt">The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge within the flat roofing or waterproofing industry alongside proven leadership experience.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt">You will ideally have:</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Previous experience managing or mentoring surveying or technical teams</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Strong knowledge of flat roofing systems including:</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Built-up felt roofing</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Single-ply systems</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Liquid waterproofing</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Experience carrying out technical roof surveys and assessments</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Excellent communication and customer relationship skills</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">A commercially aware and solutions-focused mindset</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">The ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and plans</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Strong organisational and reporting skills</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">A proactive, adaptable, and hands-on approach</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Requirements</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Experience within roofing, waterproofing, or a related construction discipline</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">CSCS Card holder</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Comfortable working at height</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Full UK driving licence</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">NVQ Level 2 Skilled Worker qualification desirable</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 10pt">DBS check may be required</span></li>
</ul>
