The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in database administration, performance tuning, data integrity, and recovery solutions. Key Responsibilities: Administer and support DB2 for z/OS databases, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance. Perform database design, implementation, and maintenance to support business and application requirements. Monitor and optimize database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning solutions. Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies, ensuring data protection and disaster recovery readiness. Collaborate with DB2 Systems Programmers, application developers, business analysts, and operations teams throughout the database lifecycle. Manage database security, access control, and audit compliance in alignment with enterprise standards. Participate in capacity planning, patching, and upgrade activities for DB2 environments. Diagnose and resolve database issues, applying root cause analysis and corrective actions. Support incident and change management processes within ITIL or similar frameworks. Provide on-call support and maintain documentation for operational procedures and best practices.
