Position: Structural Steel CNC Machine Operator
Location: Clackamas, OR 97015
Pay: $23.00 – $32.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Full-time | 40–50 hours/week | Overtime available

We are teaming up with a local steel fabrication company who specialize in structural steel for high-voltage transmission and substation infrastructure. What You’ll Do
Operate CNC Machines: Set up and run Angle Master, Plate Burner, and Beamline systems for cutting, drilling, punching, and marking steel.
Handle Materials: Use overhead cranes and forklifts to load and unload raw and finished materials.
Perform Quality Checks: Inspect components using calipers, micrometers, and blueprints to ensure precision and adherence to specifications.
Conduct Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, report equipment issues, and assist in mechanical troubleshooting.
Collaborate with the Team: Work alongside foremen, programmers, and other team members to meet production targets and support process improvements.

What You Need to Have
High school diploma or GED
4 years of CNC machine operation experience in structural steel fabrication
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining parameters
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and precision measuring tools
Familiarity with structural steel grades and machining tolerances
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
The Musts
English language proficiency
Ability to commute to or relocate to Clackamas, OR before starting
Strong commitment to OSHA safety standards and procedures
Preferred
Forklift certification and overhead crane operation experience
Experience with SigmaNEST or similar CNC programming software
Vocational or technical training in a related field
2+ years of structural steel fabrication experience
