Engineering Operations Manager – Fire & Security Systems

Job Title: Engineering Operations Manager – Fire & Security Systems Location: London Salary: From £55,000 to £65,000 per annum Are you an Engineering Operations Manager – Fire & Security Systems based in London? Looking for a role where you can lead from the front and take ownership of major projects? As an Engineering Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple fire and security projects, managing operational performance, and acting as the key technical and operational lead across sites and teams. You will be working for a leading commercial firm specialising in fire and security systems across a range of high-value projects. Responsibilities: ● Oversee all fire and security projects from initiation through to handover ● Manage and support Project Managers, stepping in as the operational lead when required ● Conduct site visits, audits, and ensure quality, safety, and compliance standards are met ● Lead client meetings and act as the main technical point of contact ● Manage project budgets, risks, and performance across multiple projects (up to £1m) ● Oversee a £3m P&L, ensuring cost-effective delivery and profitability ● Ensure compliance with RAMS, CDM, HSE, and NSI standards ● Lead, mentor, and develop engineering, service, and operations teams ● Maintain strong relationships across internal teams, including sales, finance, and admin ● Drive health & safety initiatives, audits, and continuous improvement ● Ensure all documentation, commissioning, and handover requirements are completed Experience and Certifications required: ● Proven experience in a similar role (Operations Manager or Senior Project Manager) ● Strong background in fire and security systems (essential) ● Experience managing multiple projects and operational delivery ● Leadership experience managing engineering or service teams ● Knowledge of NEC/JCT contracts ● Strong technical knowledge of integrated security systems ● IOSH Managing Safely, SSSTS, or SMSTS certification Please apply with an up-to-date CV for more information.
