Primary PurposeLead initiatives and projects which analyze, develop, and implement plans of major strategic impact (such as regulatory strategies, benchmarking assessments, performance measurement, process improvements, acquisitions and long‑range business strategies for an energy delivery business). This role requires deep analytical and modeling expertise, strong understanding of wholesale electricity markets and utility operations, and the ability to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
Position may be required to work extended hours for coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
Primary Duties- Lead initiatives and projects which analyze, develop, and implement plans of major strategic impact, including regulatory strategies, benchmarking assessments, performance measurement, acquisitions, and long‑range business strategies. This includes hands‑on leadership of complex financial, economic, and energy system modeling efforts used to evaluate strategic options.
- Proactively partner with internal cross‑functional teams (e.g., Corporate Strategy, Finance, Regulatory, Operations) to support senior management by integrating, assessing, and constructively challenging the integrity, consistency, and appropriateness of strategic and business plans, particularly where market, regulatory, or financial risks are material.
- Evaluate and analyze the financial, economic, and business process implications of special projects and initiatives, and clearly communicate insights, tradeoffs, and recommendations to senior management.
- Serve as a thought partner to senior leadership by framing ambiguous problems, defining strategic options, and recommending paths forward under uncertainty.
- Anticipate emerging wholesale market, regulatory, and industry trends and assess potential impacts to long‑term strategy, resource adequacy, system reliability, and customer affordability.
- Work closely with Corporate Strategy and Corporate Development to align Exelon‑level initiatives with business unit objectives and execution plans

Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in quantitative discipline (economics, finance, accounting, engineering or other applicable discipline).
- Ten or more years of relevant experience such as strategy, business planning, business case modeling experience
- In-depth understanding of the business, including inter-departmental and external stakeholder relationships
- Skills and experience of interacting at all levels of the organization including Senior Management
- Skills associated with strong project management, teamwork, integration and facilitation in dealing with cross functional and cross department groups
- Skills in financial valuation, analytical and performance measurement tools and applications
- Demonstrated skills with PC applications and presentation programs
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications- MBA or advanced degree in economics, engineering, finance, or a related quantitative field.
- Project Management Certification.
- Prior experience in utility strategy, energy consulting, market operators, or regulatory environments
- Experience with production cost or market simulation tools (e.g., Plexos preferred) used in wholesale market or utility planning analysis.
Benefits- Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $150,400.00/Yr. – $206,800.00/Yr. plus an additional $25K in Long Term Incentive Plan annually.
