Cover Supervisor - Leeds (September 2026)

About the role:

Justteachers are seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools throughout Leeds. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing pre-planned lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring students remain engaged and on task while maintaining a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-set lesson materials across a variety of subjects.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Maintain a focused and productive learning environment.
• Support students with their learning during lessons.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student engagement and behaviour.
• Follow all safeguarding and school policies and procedures.

Pre-requisites:

• Experience working with young people is desirable.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• Confident working with secondary-aged students.
• Adaptable, professional, and enthusiastic approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Suitable for graduates, aspiring teachers, youth workers, sports coaches, tutors, and experienced education professionals.
