About the Role

The Vale of Glamorgan Council is seeking a qualified and experienced PM - Children & Young People social worker to join our dynamic team. As a PM - Children & Young People social worker, you will be responsible for: Assessing the needs of children and families, developing tailored support plans. Working collaboratively with children, young people, and their families to empower them and promote positive outcomes. Conducting home visits and engaging with various stakeholders, including schools, health services, and community organizations. Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely interventions and support services are provided. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements and best practices. The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills: A relevant social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Care Wales. Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Proven experience in working with children and young people in a social work capacity.
