We are seeking an experienced Suricata Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. The candidate will manage Suricata configurations, tune performance with Napatech NICs, troubleshoot on Red Hat Linux, collaborate with security teams, and document deployment processes.

• Managing Suricata IDS/IPS configurations and tuning for high performance
• Deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting Suricata systems on enterprise networks
• Optimizing Suricata with Napatech NICs, configuring DMA, RSS, and offload features
• Collaborating with security teams to integrate Suricata with SIEM platforms
• Documenting deployment, configuration, and tuning procedures

• Proven experience with Suricata IDS/IPS systems and YAML configuration management
• Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration and performance tuning
• Experience tuning Suricata with Napatech NICs or similar network interfaces
• Troubleshooting skills for Suricata and NIC driver interactions in enterprise environments
• Experience scripting with Bash or Python for automation
• TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain CI polygraph
• Supporting IT projects with 5+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activities or equivalent
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification or equivalent
• Ability to obtain DoD 8570 Cybersecurity Service Provider - Infrastructure Support Certification within 30 days

• Understanding of network protocols and intrusion detection methodologies
• Experience integrating Suricata with SIEM solutions like Splunk
• Knowledge of containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with other IDS/IPS solutions and Linux OS such as Oracle or CentOS
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in teams
