Location: Wakefield – West Yorkshire (covering Yorkshire region) 

Salary: Salary to 35K + Company Car & Bonus scheme 

A well-established and growing organisation within the materials handling and workplace equipment sector is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive expansion across Yorkshire.

This role is ideal for a proactive and commercially minded sales professional with B2B experience, who thrives on winning new business and building long-term client relationships within a technical or industrial setting.

The Role:

As Business Development Manager, you will take ownership of generating new business opportunities while managing a full sales pipeline across sectors such as warehousing, manufacturing, and logistics.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identifying and winning new B2B business opportunities
• Managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Attending meetings, site visits, and industry events
• Collaborating with internal teams to ensure excellent customer delivery
• Maintaining accurate CRM records and sales forecasts

The Candidate:

We are looking for a driven, target-focused individual with a strong sales mindset.

You will have:

• Proven experience in a B2B sales role (essential)
• Background as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, or Account Manager
• A demonstrable track record of achieving or exceeding targets
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• A self-motivated, proactive approach with a strong new business focus
• Full UK driving licence
• Experience within materials handling, industrial equipment, fleet, or technical sales would be advantageous, but not essential.
