Join the LSRI programme BioBeyond_NL. Bring your expertise in chemical biology, bioorganic chemistry, synthetic chemistry and passion for developing new molecular tools to study biomolecular interactions in a system-wide manner.
Your jobMolecules in our body constantly make interactions. This is an essential process for life. When a cell is at a diseased state, the interaction landscape can drastically change. We develop chemical tools to investigate these interactions to understand health and disease. The project will focus on advancing approaches in deciphering biomolecule interactions, chemical proteomics, glycoproteomics, or glycomics, with particular emphasis on uncovering spatiotemporal molecular mechanisms in biologically relevant contexts.
As a Postdoctoral Researcher you will will contribute to the design and application of innovative chemical strategies, including crosslinking, proximity labeling, and biocompatible photocatalysis for method development and fundamental discovery. Key tasks in the lab include organic synthesis, compound characterization, biochemical assays, cell-based assays and MS-based(glyco)proteomics analysis.
You will be supervised by Dr. Zeshi Li
Your qualitiesYou are a researcher who is excited by fundamental research, method development, and interdisciplinary science at the chemistry–biology interface. Next to that you meet the following criteria:
