Home Programmes and Strategies Jobs and Skills The Mayor's Skills Academies programme The Mayor's Skills Academies programme Information on the Mayor's Skills Academies Programme The Mayor’s Skills Academies Programme connects learners to skills training and sustainable employment in London's priority sectors. The Mayor has awarded funding to organisations to lead the establishment and delivery of Skills Academy Hubs. The Hubs work with employers to address skills gaps and support Londoners into employment and training in the green economy, creative industries, digital, hospitality, and health and social care sectors.  Each Hub brings together employers, education and training providers, sector bodies, local authorities, and the voluntary and community sector (VCS) to develop clear pathways from training into employment and ensure a coordinated offer of training, work experience and advice and guidance.  The Hubs focus on engaging and supporting Londoners who are underrepresented in the key sectors to develop the skills they need to secure employment. The programme will also ensure that provision reflects industry needs through the development of new training pathways in London. The programme also works closely with the Mayor’s Workforce Integration Network (WIN) to address the structural barriers that prevent underrepresented groups from accessing high-quality work opportunities across the different sectors in London.  If you're an employer or training provider and would like to find out more about the programme, please email sectoralacademies@london.gov.uk. Mayor's Stewarding Academy Apply for our new funding opportunity Launched in partnership with the Premier League, organisations can apply for up to £900,000 funding to lead a Stewarding Academy to raise standards, and build career pathways across London’s live events sector. Applications are open until 17 November 2025.
