About the Role
Site Manager - Water & Civils (MEICA) - Central LondonWe are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to deliver complex water and heavy civils projects in Westminster, Central London. This role is ideal for a Site Manager with strong experience coordinating civil works alongside MEICA installation, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality delivery on design & build schemes within regulated environments. You will play a key role in managing site operations, coordinating design interfaces, and ensuring programme, quality, commercial and HSE targets are achieved.The RoleAs Site Manager, you will take responsibility for managing construction activities across water and civil engineering projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with Contracts Managers, Project Managers, engineers and commercial teams to achieve successful project outcomes. You will also support design development, challenge constructability issues and coordinate civils activities alongside mechanical and electrical installation phases.Key ResponsibilitiesSite & Project DeliveryManage day-to-day site operations across water and civil engineering schemesDeliver projects safely, on programme and within budgetLead teams of Sub Agents, Engineers and ForepersonsEnsure works are completed to specification and without defectsProduce and implement Project Plans, RAMS, ITPs and Waste Management PlansDevelop and manage construction programmes and 2-week lookaheadsCoordinate procurement schedules and resource requirementsMaintain accurate site records and diariesDesign & Buildability CoordinationSupport development of temporary and permanent works designsReview and challenge designs for constructability, sequencing and accessCoordinate civils works around MEICA installation, testing and commissioningManage RFIs, technical queries and design changes with internal and external teamsEnsure alignment between design outputs, methodology and site constraintsApply knowledge of water industry standards including CESWI and WIMESClient & Commercial ManagementAct as the key site contact for clients and stakeholdersProduce accurate monthly progress and commercial reportsIdentify and implement value engineering opportunitiesMaintain cost control and maximise commercial performanceChair weekly progress meetingsEssential Experience & QualificationsExperience as a Site Manager or Site Agent within civil engineering or water sector projectsStrong knowledge of design & build projects and regulated environmentsExperience coordinating civils works on MEICA-intensive water or wastewater schemesUnderstanding of interfaces between civils, mechanical and electrical installationsKnowledge of CDM regulations, programme management and cost controlAbility to interpret drawings and challenge technical solutionsRequired Tickets & CertificationsCSCS Black Card - Site ManagerNVQ Level 6 or 7 in Construction Site Management (or equivalent)SMSTS (CITB)First Aid at Work (3-day)Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) or Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC)EUSR Water Hygiene (Blue Card)Confined Space - Medium Risk minimumHighly DesirableNEBOSH Construction CertificateIOSH Managing SafelyConfined Space - High RiskDegree or HNC in Civil EngineeringKnowledge of NEC or JCT contractsExperience using Primavera P6CEng MICE or equivalent professional membershipThe packageCompetitive salary up to £70,000Company pension schemeLife assurancePrivate medical cover25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and loyalty daysCompany car, car allowance or van (role dependent)Flexible benefits via salary sacrificeEmployee Assistance Programme8 hours paid volunteering leaveOngoing leadership & management trainingStructured career development and progression supportContinuous service awardsApplyIf you are an experienced Site Manager with strong water and civils expertise, apply now to be considered for this Central London opportunity.
