Our products combine mechanical engineering, electronics, embedded systems, software, manufacturing, and autonomous flight into complete solutions built in Louisiana. We’re seeking a Drone Systems Engineering Intern who enjoys building things, solving problems, and learning across multiple engineering disciplines.<br><br> </div><div> <strong>      What You'll Do<br></strong><br> </div><div>As a Drone Systems Engineering Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting the design, assembly, testing, and deployment of next-generation unmanned aircraft systems.<br><br> </div><div>Projects may include:<br><br> </div><ul> <li>Assisting with the design and development of drone platforms</li> <li>Building and testing prototype aircraft</li> <li>Supporting mechanical, electrical, and software integration</li> <li>Assisting with flight testing and data collection</li> <li>Troubleshooting hardware and system-level issues</li> <li>Supporting manufacturing process improvements</li> <li>Assisting with CAD models, engineering documentation, and BOM updates</li> <li>Integrating sensors, payloads, cameras, communications equipment, and accessories</li> <li>Supporting internal software tools, automation, or AI-powered engineering workflows</li> <li>Working alongside engineering, production, and flight operations teams</li> </ul><div>No two weeks are the same. Interns are encouraged to contribute ideas, solve problems, and take ownership of meaningful projects.<br><br> </div><div> <strong>   Preferred Qualifications<br></strong><br> </div><ul> <li>Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related technical field</li> <li>Strong mechanical aptitude</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving skills</li> <li>Comfortable working with tools and hands-on equipment</li> <li>Curious, self-motivated, and eager to learn</li> </ul><div> <strong>   Bonus Experience<br></strong><br> </div><div>Experience with any of the following is a plus:<br><br> </div><ul> <li>CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar)</li> <li>Electronics and soldering</li> <li>Embedded systems or microcontrollers</li> <li>JavaScript, Python, or C++</li> <li>React or web application development</li> <li>AI-assisted development tools (Claude, Codex, Cursor, Windsurf, etc.)</li> <li>Robotics or autonomous systems</li> <li>3D printing</li> <li>Drone building or FPV experience</li> <li>FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate</li> </ul><div> <strong>   What We're Looking For<br></strong><br> </div><div>We care less about checking every box and more about finding builders.
