Loading Shovel Operator
IMH Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Waste Management Operative/Loading Shovel Operator to work on behalf of our client based in Leicester (LE8).
Duties include:
- Operating a loading shovel and other plant machinery safely.
- Loading and unloading waste vehicles.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment.
- Using the weighbridge and completing basic paperwork/electronic records.
- Sorting, moving and processing waste materials.
- Assisting with site operations and ensuring all health & safety procedures are followed.
- Working with colleagues, contractors and site users to provide an efficient waste management service.
Requirements:
- Loading Shovel/Plant Operator qualification or ticket.
- Previous experience in waste management or a similar environment.
- Knowledge of health & safety procedures.
- Basic IT skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
- This role may require occasional weekend, bank holiday or out-of-hours working, as well as travel to different sites across Leicestershire when required.
Hours & Pay:
- Monday to Friday (working hours to be discussed at interview)
- £14.50 per hour
- Weekly pay via agency!
