About the role:
Justteachers are proud to be supporting a welcoming and inclusive Primary school in Norwich, who are seeking an experienced and caring EYFS Teacher to cover on a full time basis, from September.
This school offers a nurturing and engaging early years environment where children are encouraged to explore, develop confidence, and build strong foundations for future learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children’s development in communication, language, early reading, and number skills
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment
- Observe, assess, and record pupil progress using EYFS assessment tools
- Support pupils’ personal, social, and emotional development
- Work closely with teaching assistants and the wider EYFS team
- Deliver structured and engaging phonics sessions in line with the school’s chosen scheme
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers where required
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification
- Previous EYFS teaching experience
- A secure understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development
- Phonics teaching experience (ideally)
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate learning activities
- Strong classroom organisation and a nurturing teaching style
- Two recent education based references
