<p><strong>NEW VACANCY! (PK9360)</strong></p><p><strong>2X MAINTENANCE ENGINEER - MANUFACTURING</strong></p><p><strong>WEST MIDLANDS</strong></p><p><strong>SALARY &#163;42-43K (Depending on Experience) + Overtime Rates</strong></p><p><strong>SHIFTS: 1 X DAY SHIFT: Monday to Friday - 8am to 5pm</strong><br /><strong> 1 X NIGHT SHIFT: Monday to Friday - 10pm to 6am</strong></p><p>Our client is a leading corrugated packaging manufacturer, supplying to a variety of markets throughout the UK, they have made a vast investment into the business over the past few years and have experienced significant growth and increase in workload.</p><p>They are currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of production by carrying out planned preventative maintenance and responding quickly to machinery breakdowns. Working as part of a small but dedicated engineering team, you will service, maintain, and repair a range of production equipment, helping to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production machinery and equipment</li><li>Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and automated system faults to minimise downtime</li><li>Ensure machinery is serviced and maintained to maximise production efficiency and reliability</li><li>Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns, identifying root causes and implementing effective repairs</li><li>Work closely with the production and manufacturing teams to maintain continuous production flow</li><li>Complete maintenance records accurately and report any recurring issues or improvement opportunities</li><li>Support the installation, commissioning and continuous improvement of machinery and equipment</li><li>Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company health &amp; safety procedures</li><li>Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment</li><li>Work collaboratively within the engineering team while also being able to work independently when required</li><li>Provide support to colleagues and assist with engineering projects as needed</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or production environment</li><li>Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance, with experience of hydraulics, pneumatics, and computerised control systems</li><li>Ability to diagnose faults quickly and carry out effective repairs under pressure</li><li>Experience of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and organised approach to work</li><li>Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively</li><li>A reliable, flexible team player with the ability to work independently</li><li>Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with production teams</li><li>Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City &amp; Guilds, HNC/HND or equivalent) is desirable</li></ul>
