EYFS and KS1 TA Peterborough

About the role:

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Peterborough, supporting pupils across EYFS and Key Stage 1.
This is a full-time position starting in September and continuing until the Christmas break, offering an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced teaching staff and make a positive impact on young learners during a crucial stage of their development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teaching and learning across EYFS and Key Stage 1 classrooms.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to enhance learning and development.
• Assist with classroom preparation, activities, and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Encourage pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development through engaging support.

Pre-requisites:

• Previous experience working with children in an EYFS, KS1, school, nursery, or childcare setting.
• A clear, enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Education references to cover the last two years
• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
