Job Overview
The PCX Mechanical Assembler Team Lead is responsible for directing activities of workers involved in mechanical assembly and integration of products in production using technical and complex equipment in an assigned area. Leads encourage a collaborative team environment dedicated to meeting departmental goals and objectives. According to the Supervisor’s direction, the Team Lead sets work priorities, provides direction, and works alongside team members to achieve manufacturing goals. This position provides input to the supervisor on performance reviews and coaching. The Team Lead is required to have a close attention to detail for their work as well as their team’s work. The team lead must be proficient in all aspects of completing the job in their area in a timely manner with a high level of workmanship.
A Day In The Life
Must follow PCX safety guidelines and requirements as well as hold their team accountable.
Safely work with all equipment, machines, and tools required for job completion.
Listens and follows directions from supervisors and management.
Must verify conformance of work to specifications.
Must exhibit quality workmanship that adheres to engineering and customer specifications.
Adheres to PCX Quality Management System and ISO9001 standards.
Identify assembly and production issues.
Addresses discrepancies and remedies the problems.
Assists in the supervision of personnel and is responsible for the activities in their area.
Responsible for the safety of personnel, processes, equipment, and housekeeping.
Ensures training and cross-training is conducted and training records are maintained.
Assists Supervisor with employee scheduling and assignment of manpower.
Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment in area of responsibility.
Leads operational efficiency by reviewing manpower and equipment requirements based on production needs.

Troubleshoots problems and participates in problem solving teams.
Identifies, recommends, and assists in the implementation of measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, quality of product, and productivity using lean manufacturing techniques.
Must be able to work in a team environment which requires cooperating with others, offering help when needed, and maintaining positive work relationships.
Report inventory use as required.
Ability to work 10 hours per day and weekends as required.
Must be able to successfully complete training without interruption (unless approved).
