Geography Teacher Leeds

About the role:

Justteachers are seeking an enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Leeds this September. This is a full-time role running until Christmas, with a strong possibility of extension for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and high-quality Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEN and EAL students
• Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to support development
• Maintain strong classroom management and a positive learning environment
• Work collaboratively with the Humanities department and wider school staff
• Contribute to departmental planning, meetings and school activities where required

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualificatio
• Experience teaching Geography in a UK secondary school setting
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for Geography
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
• Two school based references
