About the Role

If you're a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in running a tight, efficient shift, this Food Production Supervisor role may be exactly what you're looking for.   Why you'll love working with us: Stable, Predictable Schedule: Monday-Friday during regular grading hours, with only occasional Saturdays — ideal for someone who values consistency and family time. Real Ownership: You'll be trusted to run your shift, make decisions, and solve problems. Visible Impact: Your leadership directly affects daily output, team morale, and product quality. Leadership Growth: Build your operational and team leadership skills through hands-on experience and lean practices. Strong, Values-Driven Culture: Work in a faith-based, family-owned company where integrity, respect, and doing things the right way matter. Long-Term Opportunity: Join a stable, fourth-generation company focused on steady growth and developing leaders from within. Westfield Egg Farm, a fourth-generation family business in New Holland, PA, partners with small farms to produce high-quality, ethically sourced eggs. Built on faith, integrity, and family values, Westfield provides a workplace defined by respect, purpose, and genuine care.   What you'll do as a Food Production Supervisor: Execute Daily Production Plans: Lead the execution of the daily grading plan, ensuring output, accuracy, and quality standards are met. Prepare & Oversee Floor Operations: Ensure the grader, equipment, materials, and team are ready for efficient production at the start of each shift. Lead Daily Team Huddles: Set clear expectations for safety, quality, and production goals before each shift. Supervise & Direct a 15-20 Person Team: Provide hands-on leadership on the floor, give real-time direction, and address performance or workflow issues immediately. Drive Production Efficiency: Monitor workflow throughout the shift, proactively resolve bottlenecks, and minimize downtime. Ensure Compliance & Food Safety Standards: Oversee adherence to SOPs, SQF standards, and all food safety and quality requirements. Verify Production Accuracy: Review grade-outs and production data daily to ensure reporting reflects actual results. Coordinate Shift Transitions: Partner with the Early Morning Shift Supervisor to ensure smooth communication and continuity between shifts. Maintain a Safe, Respectful Work Environment: Model professionalism, enforce safety standards, and promote accountability across the team. Support Operational Needs: Assist with additional production or facility needs as required.   Our Ideal Food Production Supervisor: Experienced Floor Leader: 2+ years of hands-on leadership experience supervising 10+ employees in a food production, agriculture, manufacturing, or other fast-paced production environment. Proven responsibility for daily operations, team performance, and accountability. Values-Aligned: Personally supports and lives out Westfield Egg Farm's mission, vision, and faith-based core values. Comfortable working in a conservative, family-oriented environment. Professional, modest appearance required. Hands-On & Accountable: Leads from the floor — not behind a desk. Comfortable giving clear direction, correcting issues in real time, and holding team members accountable while maintaining respect. Clear Communicator: Effectively communicates production plans and expectations verbally and in writing. Able to work well with both English- and Spanish-speaking team members (bilingual a plus, not required). Organized Problem-Solver: Able to identify production bottlenecks quickly, make practical decisions under pressure, and keep operations moving with minimal downtime. Technically Capable: Basic computer skills required, including Excel and data entry. Able to read and interpret SOPs, maintenance instructions, and production documentation accurately. Physically Engaged: Comfortable in an active production setting requiring standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working around machinery, noise, dust, and varying temperatures.   What we offer our Food Production Supervisor: $26-$30/hour, DOE Full-time schedule, typically Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or during regular grading hours, with rare overtime and occasional Saturdays for maintenance, repairs, or grading Health, dental, & vision benefits Paid time off & paid holidays 401(k) with company match Employee development opportunities Free eggs Branded clothing Company banquets and events A faith-based organization that prioritizes excellence, stewardship, and long-term impact
