Infant School Class Teacher (Reception–Year 2) Location: Horsham, West SussexContract: Permanent / Long‑termStart Date: September 2026ECTs Welcome to Apply A small, friendly 2‑form entry infant school in Horsham is seeking a committed and enthusiastic class teacher to join their team from September. The school is open to teachers across Reception, Year 1 or Year 2, with the year group allocated based on experience and strengths. This is a nurturing and inclusive setting with a strong emphasis on early learning, positive relationships and pupil wellbeing. The school benefits from a close‑knit staff team who work collaboratively to support both pupils and colleagues. The Role Full class teacher responsibility within Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 Delivering engaging, age‑appropriate learning in line with the Early Years Framework or KS1 curriculum Creating a warm, structured and supportive classroom environment Working closely with teaching assistants and fellow year‑group teachers Building strong relationships with pupils, parents and carers The Ideal Candidate Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or due to qualify (ECTs encouraged to apply) A passion for early learning and child‑centred teaching Strong understanding of phonics, early reading and foundational learning A positive, reflective and flexible approach Willingness to contribute to a supportive and collaborative school culture The School Offers A welcoming and supportive leadership team Excellent mentoring and induction support for ECTs Small two‑form entry environment with strong teamwork Clear expectations and shared planning A caring, community‑focused school ethos Application & Interview Details Interviews: Taking place as soon as suitable candidates are identified Start date: September 2026 This role would suit an ECT looking for a strong start in a nurturing infant setting, or an experienced KS1 teacher seeking a caring and well‑run school community in Horsham.
