Engineering Manager

Working hours: Monday - Friday 07:00 - 16:30
SRG are currently recruiting an Engineering Manager for a successful and growing client based in London. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for a senior engineer or supervisor looking to step into a role with real influence over plant reliability, safety performance and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of maintenance engineers and technicians
- Plan and prioritise maintenance activities to minimise downtime and improve asset availability
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
- Manage planned maintenance schedules, shutdowns and contractor activity
- Own and manage the permit-to-work system
- Develop, coach, and upskill engineering team members
- Lead fault finding and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to prevent repeat failures
- Drive continuous improvement across maintenance and reliability
- Communicate performance and site issues via shift reports and handovers
- Support budget control and cost management within engineering.
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a maintenance or engineering environment
- Strong CMMS experience
- Exposure to budgets and P&L responsibility
- Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
