About the Role
A well-regarded residential property operator is looking to strengthen its service charge finance team with the hire of a Service Charge Accountant.This is a business that has built a strong reputation in the market for quality of service and employee retention. They've grown consistently over the past 20 years and are investing further into their finance function as the portfolio expands.You'll sit close to operations - working directly with property managers and having real ownership over a portfolio of estates. It's a role that gives you full visibility across the service charge cycle rather than being boxed into one area.What you'll be doing:Full ownership of service charge budgets across a portfolioManaging billing cycles including service charge and ground rentPreparing year end accounts and liaising with external accountantsHandling utilities, insurance recharges and associated adminWhat they're looking for:Experience in service charge accountingComfortable with accruals and prepaymentsStudying or interested in AAT, ACCA, CIMA or ACAStrong Excel skills and attention to detailWhy this role:Clear progression within a growing finance teamExposure to a broad, end to end service charge remitStable business with strong reputation in the sectorHybrid working and supportive cultureIf you're currently in a transactional or junior accounting role and want to move into a more ownership driven position within property, this is a strong step forward.
