About the Role

<p><strong>Credit Manager</strong></p> <p>Location: Norwich, (office-based with one day per week remote working post-probation)</p> <p>Contract: Full-time, permanent</p> <p>An established and growing multi-site organisation is seeking an experienced Credit Manager to take ownership of the credit control function across multiple trading entities.</p> <p>This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to lead and develop credit processes, minimise financial risk and work closely with senior stakeholders across the business.</p> <p><b>The Role</b></p> <p>Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the full credit control function, ensuring robust controls, strong cash collection and effective risk management.</p> <p>Key responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Proactively monitoring customer credit limits and account balances</li> <li>Managing credit risk using order release systems, stop lists, periodic credit reports and other controls</li> <li>Producing timely and accurate management information for Directors, Branch Managers and Sales teams</li> <li>Holding regular credit review meetings with internal stakeholders</li> <li>Assessing new and existing customer credit applications using internal data and external credit agencies</li> <li>Ensuring customers pay within agreed credit terms</li> <li>Ensuring all accounts receivable transactions are processed accurately and on time</li> <li>Managing relationships with invoice finance providers and completing monthly reporting, returns and audits</li> <li>Reconciling sales ledger balances to bank and finance provider reports</li> <li>Working collaboratively with internal teams to resolve invoice and payment allocation queries</li> <li>Liaising with third-party collection agencies and legal advisors where required</li> <li>Line management responsibility for one Credit Controller</li> <li>Providing cover and support within the wider finance team when required</li> </ul> <p><b>About You</b></p> <p>You will be an experienced credit control professional with a strong background in managing high-volume, low-value accounts within a fast-paced environment.</p> <p>Essential experience and skills:</p> <ul> <li>Proven experience managing a credit control function</li> <li>Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of workloads and deadlines</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>High levels of accuracy and attention to detail</li> <li>Confident dealing with customers and internal stakeholders in pressurised situations</li> <li>Strong problem-solving and organisational skills</li> <li>Proficient IT skills, including strong Microsoft Excel capability (VLOOKUP, SUMIF or similar formulas)</li> </ul> <p>Desirable:</p> <ul> <li>Experience working with invoice finance facilities</li> <li>Exposure to ERP systems</li> <li>Experience within multi-site environment</li> <li>Studying towards or qualified CICM or AAT (QBE considered)</li> </ul> <p>Please apply online or contact Justin Murray at Big Sky Additions for further information.</p>
